Nose: (according to the wife) Light and fruity, with some aromatics in the back. Lemon and grapes are the main notes. A bit of mint, eucalyptus, and cardamom also come to play. Hay and malt wrap things up.

Palate: It’s rather sugary, almost sugar water levels of sweetness. You get a slightly savory, sweet icing note that reminds me of shelly senbei. Warm malt along with some grass and hay wrap things up.

Finish: Medium to long in length. There’s a little more shelly senbei and a little bit of citrus.

Conclusion: When I poured this whisky, it was a blazing 105°F (40.5°C) out. I was hoping this would be light enough to be enjoyed in the heat and it turns out it was. The nose is full of fruit and aromatics which make for a calming experience. The palate is sweet with a little bit of savory from the rice crackers which makes for easy drinking. It’s nothing fancy but it is a solid Linkwood.

Final Score: 77.
