Nose: Grilled Pineapple, Cinnamon, Cumin, Green Apple, Guava, faint cement glue, lemon zest, passionfruit, allspice, soy sauce, Apple Cider Vinegar

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, buttered popcorn, soy sauce, meaty, green apple, cement glue, guava, passion fruit, allspice, cumin, bubblegum, apple cider vinegar

Finish: : Long finish, soy sauce, meaty, green apple, lemon zest, allspice, cumin, cement glue, buttered popcorn, metallic tinge

Conclusion: As usual, an incredible rum from Hampden Estate. HGML is not a marque I have much experience with but this is so good. Full of an array of flavors but still have that pineapple backbone that I’ve come to expect from Hampden rums. Drinks below proof and changes in the glass, an incredible selection done by Astor. I need more of these young tropically aged, high ester marque Hampdens in my life.
