Montebello Cuvee Zenga

Review by: The Auditor

Review #1089; Rum #416

This rum comes from Petit-Bourg Guadeloupe from the Montebello distillery. This rum was made from fresh pressed cane juice and distilled on a column still.

Distillery: Montebello

Bottler: Montebello

Region: Guadeloupe

Still: Column still

ABV: 60%.

Nose: Soft, Floral, Green Apple, Coriander, Vanilla, Lemon Peel

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, Floral, Coriander, Vanilla, Lemon Peel, earthy, Apple

Finish: Medium length finish, Coriander, Brine, Vanilla, Earthy, Lemon

Conclusion: Another great example of unaged cane juice rhum from Guadeloupe. It’s floral, a bit earthy, and spicy which makes for a very enjoyable sipping rum (and would perform well in a ti punch). I have to say I think most days Guadeloupe makes my favorite agricole rums.
