Review #1094; Rum #421

This rum comes to us from the Clarendon distillery in Jamaica. It was distilled from molasses, unaged, and is of the highest marque Clarendon produces. That marque Is MLC, which clocks in at 550 gr/hL AA. It was then bottled with no additives or ageing by The Nectar of the Daily Drams independent bottler.
Distillery: Clarendon
Bottler: Nectar of the Daily Drams
Region: Jamaica
ABV: 59%
Nose: Fruity, Lime wedges, slight, Lemon peel, Passionfruit, peppery,
Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Brine, lime peel, lemon, slight raspberry, vinegar
Finish: Medium length finish, brine, lime juice, lemon
Conclusion: This is a very good and enjoyable unaged rum. I can see this working really well in some cocktails and it is enjoyable neat. That mid-ester marque usually has some very enjoyable flavor qualities to it. It lacks a bit of something to take it to that next level for me though.
