Nose: This is super fruity with pretty much all tropical fruits. I get a bit of lychee, mango, guanabana, mangosteen and a bit of something that is between a papaya and a fuyu persimmon. There’s touch of something semi-floral, perhaps hibiscus tea. A bit of vanilla as well comes through.

Palate: Mouthfeel-wise, this is fairly oily. Chocolate is what stands out at first though this certainly needs some water. Add a splash of water and then you get a lovely, fruity delight with some desserts on the side. The local pastry shop to us does a passion fruit-curd filled eclair sometimes and this reminds me a lot of it. There’s also a bit that reminds me of a freshly fried glazed donut, with the dripping oil and oozing glaze and all. A touch of a boba milk tea as well comes through, specifically mostly the tapioca with some of the milk black tea.

Finish: Long and lingering. Vanilla and cream are prominent along with a bunch of tropical fruit. Dried mango and pineapple comes to mind – specifically whatever dried pineapple Starbucks uses in their fruitier drinks.

Conclusion: Long have /u/_asipper and Whiskery Turnip hyped up Glenburgie and it’s fruitiness with a heavy slant for tropical ones. My experiences with Glenburgie haven’t quite been particularly fruit driven, on two of my three previously reviewed Glenburgie’s I’ve found more vegetable notes than fruit ones. This one though? Yeah this is a fruit bomb. The nose smacks you with seemingly a whole Hawaiian farmer’s market worth of tropical fruits. Those fruits get a bit of a baked twist on the palate with that passion fruit-curd eclair note being so prominent. The finish serves you some more to go with you. Overall, really tasty and really delightful. I wish I had a bottle!

Rating: 94.
