This bottling here is Aguardiente de anis, Colombia’s national drink. This bottling is from a craft distillery, that was distilled from estate grown cane syrup. This was distilled to 80% on a hybrid still, infused with anise seeds, rested in stainless, and bottled at 38%

Nose: Heavy Star Anise, Slight Rubber, a bit of berry, a bit of sweetness

Palate: Light mouthfeel ,Heavy Star Anise, Rubbery, a bit of sweetness

Finish: Short finish, Star Anise, Rubbery, a bit of berry


Conclusion: The star anise is so forward that it makes this enjoyable. Its thin, it’s a bit watery, but it is nice overall. It’s a nice easy think to drink with a unique flavor.
