This is a bottling of rum from American independent bottlers Raising Glasses and a follow up to their first Beenleigh bottling. This rum was distilled from molasses and aged for 12 years in Australia and a further 5 years in the EU before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.
5% of profits from this bottle goes to the North Queensland Animal Rescue in Australia
Distillery: Beenleigh
Bottler: Raising Glasses
Region: Australia
ABV: 69.1%
Nose: Grapefruit, Black Tea, Dark Chocolate, Umami, Raspberry
Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, Grapefruit, Dark Chocolate, Black Tea, Lemon, Raspberry, Star Anise
Finish: Long finish, Grapefruit, Lemon, Dark Chocolate, Black Tea, Umami, Raspberry, Star Anise
Conclusion: This is another bottling of Beenleigh that knocks it out of the park for me. Strong fruits, spices, and just enough savory to tie it all together. That grapefruit note is power and unique and one of the reasons I really enjoy drinking this rum.friends locally.
