Review #1192; Rum #506
Here we have a bottle of rum bottled by The Nectar, a Belgium based independent bottler. This rum comes from Diamond Distillery in Guyana and is made from molasses distilled on the four column Savalle still. This rum was aged for 10 years and bottled on 2012 at cask strength with no additives.
Distillery: Diamond
Bottler: Nectar of the Daily Drams
Cask: Ex-Bourbon
Region: Guyana
ABV: 62.6%
Nose: Slight Apple, Vanilla, Brine
Palate: Surprisingly thin for the proof.Toffee, Apple, Brine, Caramel
Finish: Short, Toffee, Brine, Caramel, Apple
Conclusion: This is not bad. This is not up to the better rums Ive had from DDL. The flavor is just not very punchy and the notes are all over the place as is the heat.
