Review #1223; Rum #537
This rum comes from Drop Works, a new rum distillery located in Nottinghamshire in Britain. This rum was distilled from molasses and fermented with their Wild Trinity yeast strain before being distilled on their Double Retort still.
Distillery: DropWorks
Bottler: Dropworks
Region: England
Still: Pot
ABV: 63%
Nose: Brine, Mango, Guava
Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Brine, Guava, Peppery, Orange
Finish: Short finish, Bready, Brine, Guava
Conclusion: This is fine. It has good flavor but it lacks some of that oomph and complexity in something called Funk Drop that I want. I can get what they were going for but it does not seem to have quite nailed that for me.
Final Score: 82
