Amuleto

Review by: The Auditor

Review #1247; Rum #556

This is a ron distilled from local panela sugarcane honey, distilled on a copper pot still, and matured in American White oak for at least 6 months at 1700 meters above sea level. No additives or sugar.  This ron comes from Colombia.

Distillery: Amuleto

Bottler: Amuleto

Region: Colombia

Still: Pot

ABV: 40%

Nose: Floral, Vanilla, Touch of Honey

Palate: Light mouthfeel, Vanilla, Floral, Touch of Honey, Wax

Finish: Short finish, Vanilla, Floral, Honey, Slight Pepper

Conclusion: This is fine, but a touch of the sweet and simple side for me. There is a slight musty off note as well that hangs over the whole thing.

Final Score: 77
