Great House is a yearly limited edition blend from Hampden Estate. Each year is a blend of marques that allows the distillery to play around with their various aged rums they have. This 2024 edition has the following components:

50% 3 Year LFCH 2021

20% 4 Year LFCH 2020

15% 6 Year HGML 2018

15% 3 Year DOK 2021

It was then bottled at a high proof with no additives.

Distillery: Hampden Estate

Bottler: Hampden Estate

Region: Jamaica

Still: Pot

ABV: 57%

Nose: Brûléed Pineapple, Plastic Cement, Cola, Clove, Blackberry Compote, mango, guava

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Brûléed Pineapple, Plastic Cement, Cola, Blackberry, Clove, mango guava

Finish: Long Finish, Plastic Cement, Cola, Blackberry, Cloves, Brine, mango, guava

Conclusion: Another great addition to the Great House lineup. I get some unique notes there that I don’t usually get in the other releases, like that strong cola and blackberry note. The classic pineapple and plastic cement are there as well as tropical fruits like mango and a bit of guava.
