This sample was provided to me by a producer, distributor, or some other industry source free-of-charge. No compensation, outside of the sample, was received and there were no strings attached.

This is a special release from Hampden Estate released in honor of Maverick Hann, the son of Christelle & Mathew who was born May 14^th, 2024. This rum was distilled from molasses using Cane Vinegar, Dunder, Muck, and Spring water.  Maverick is a blend of marques:

50% HGML 2018

40% LFCH 2020

10% C<>H 2021

It was then bottled at cask strength with no additives.

Conclusion: This is a very good rum. It has those nice classic kind of rummy flavors and if you like a nice oak backbone to your rum this is for you. I’ll admit I’ve never been really into the Belize rums and I like this a lot less than what other folks would I’m sure.
