Alambique Serrano 3 Años Cask #363

Review by: The Auditor

Review #1403; Rum #702

This is a single cask of rum from Alambique Serrano’s 3 Años line, which are rums aged for at least 3 years. This rum was made from fresh pressed cane juice distilled on the Krassel column still. It then agd for 41 months in new French Oak in a humid cellar before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.

Distillery: Krassel Family Distillery

Bottler: Alambique Serrano

Region: Mexico

Still: Column

ABV: 57.6%

Nose: Watermelon Jolly Rancher, Raspberry, Apple Cider Vinegar, Figs, Gingersnaps

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Watermelon Jolly Ranchers, Raspberry, Nutmeg, Apple Cider Vinegar, Figs, Gingersnaps

Finish:  Long Finish, Watermelon Jolly Ranchers, Raspberry, Nutmeg, Apple Cider Vinegar, Figs, bit of spice on the end.

Now this is an excellent single cask from Alambique. It has that Pico Cano Jolly Rancher Note, a hot sauce like spice, plenty of baking spices and fruits. Man, this is just an amazing bottling and one I wish wasn’t sold out. Im sure people get tired of me singing the praises of Alambique but as long as they keep releasing amazing rums I’m not going to stop.
