Review # 1431; Rum #730
Here we have a bottling from Australian based independent bottler Dead Reckoning. This rum was distilled from molasses at Diamond Distillery in Guyana (also known as Demerara distillers limited). This rum is a blend of all 3 of the distillery’s wooden still, the Wooden Continuous Coffey Still (EHP), the Single Wood Pot Still (VSG) , and the Double Wooden Pot Still (PM). The rum aged for 5 years in Guyana in ex-bourbon casks before being aged for a further 1 year in Australia in a South Australian Muscat cask and 1.5 years in an ex-bourbon cask. Bottled at 50% with no sugar added, no coloring added, and it was non-chill filtered.

This is really darn good. It has the heavy caramel and dark savory flavors Iven come to enjoy in rums from DDL. A nice batch of fruits come in to round it out and there’s a dirty vanilla running all over this too. Overall, a great bottling from Dead Reckoning.
