Review #1433; Rum #732
Here we have a bottle of rum from the folks at Bristol Spirits, one of the earliest players in the independent bottler game. This is an unaged cane juice Rhum from Labourdonnais Distillery located on Mauritius island in the Indian ocean. This rhum was bottled with no additives.
Distillery: Labourdonnais
Bottler: Bristol Spirirts
Region: Mauritius
Still: Column
ABV: 43%
Nose: Lemongrass, Orange Peel, Vanilla, Coriander, Pears, Apple, river water
Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Floral, Coriander, Orange Peel, Lemongrass, Pears, Apple
Finish: Medium finish, Floral, Orange Peel, Coriander, Lemongrass, Pears, Apple
This is a pretty tasty and remarkable rum. Packed full of flavor, a bit of river water, fruits, a pungent nose of lemongrass. This is an all around great and expressive rhum, one that I would be happy to just sip on all day.
