Here we have a bottling of rum from German independent bottlers Rum Artesanal. This rum was distilled from molasses, aged for 22 years in a mix of Pacific and European clients, and bottled at a high proof. This rum is from South Pacific Distillers located on the island of Fiji.

Nose: Vanilla, Coriander, Clove, Black Tea, eucalyptus

Palate: Medium Oily mouthfeel, Clove, Black Tea, Vanilla, Black Pepper, eucalyptus

Finish: Medium length finish, Clove, Black Tea, Vanilla, Coriander, Black Pepper, Mint


This is great Off profile from a lot of the fijis I have tried. These well aged ones tend to be pretty hit and miss for me but this one falls a bit in the middle. The herbaceous nature is very unexpected but a welcome relief from the wood. That eucalyptus and mint note is quite nice as is the dark chocolate and vanilla that somehow all works together.
