Fragrant Drops is a new label on my radar. Also simply new. Keeble Cask Company was started by George Keeble in 2020 and began bottling in 2022. They came to my attention through some very fairly priced releases from Royal Mile Whiskies, including this one. Had a few great 1995 Burgies, so I split this bottle with a friend. Rested about 20 minutes.
Distillery: Glenburgie
Bottler: Keeble Cask Company
Region/style: Speyside single malt Scotch
ABV: 49.7%. Cask strength.
Age: 30 years. Distilled on June 20, 1995 and bottled on September, 11, 2025.
Cask type: Refill hogshead #6676, 164 bottles.
Color: 1.2 chestnut. Natural color and non-chill-filtered.
Price: Around $320
Nose: Oaky to no surprise, but still plenty of fruity Glenburgie character. Mango, peach, muskmelon, and lemon candy. More candy, like peach rings and some caramel chews.
Palate: Peach, melon, mango, and now guava. Lemon glaze and vanilla ice cream. Oolong tea. Some definite oak, but it’s not like chewing on furniture, nor strongly spicy. A few drops of water brings out stronger mango, and I’m not going to complain. I love mango. Lots of caramel. It has the effervescent quality I find occasionally. I’m still not sure how that works.
Finish: Oolong tea, peach, melon, and more vanilla ice cream with caramel. The mango pudding some dim sum places have, drizzled with condensed milk. A little hint of cinnamon, maybe pepper. A soft oaky hug.Tannins are more present.
Conclusion: It in no way disappoints. Slightly below the Spirits Hunter Glenburgie from a few months ago, but it’s close. Wish I’d saved a little of that for a side by side. This gets pretty tannic; almost verging into too oaky. Some water brings out the mango flavor. Makes it better in my opinion. It won’t be any trouble to finish this half-bottle.ke a destination for stuff Murray McDavid didn’t want to release as single malts. If the goal is trying to compete with Compass Box, they’ve got some work to do. I’d rather have a bottle of Artist’s Blend. Next time I’ll see how it does in a Penicillin.
