This is a bottling of rum from independent American bottlers Raising Glasses. This is a molasses based rum that was distilled on a column still from the Savanna distillery located on Reunion Island. Aged for 2 years on Reunion and a further 4 years in Europe, Raising Glasses selected and bottled this rum at cask strength.

5% of profits from this bottle goes to Globice for the conservation of whales & cetaceans in Réunion.

Conclusion: Assuming this is likely Rum Traditional from Savanna, this is right up there with the other ones Ive had from Savanna. Big coffee and chocolate flavors, a touch of coconut, floralness, some faint touches of fruit. It’s not some out there extreme rum like HERR, but it is an excellent representation of quality rum that is tasty enough to just sip on, but also has the complexity to sit and pick out notes.
