Review #1482; Rum #781
This sample was provided to me by a producer, distributor, or some other industry source free-of-charge. No compensation, outside of the sample, was received and there were no strings attached.
Here we have another bottling of New Yarmouth rum from independent bottler Bedford Park. This rum distilled on a column still from molasses at New Yarmouth, aged for 5 years in Europe in a once filled bourbon cask before being bottled at cask strength with no additives. This rum is the New Yarmouth HM marque which is 500-700 gr/hlAA

Another excellent rum overall from New Yarmouth. This one is out there in terms of raw explosive flavor. Powerful and pungent tropical fruits, a bit of spice and tea, a hint of floralness as well. It drinks well below its proof but also does well with a bit of water to really open up those fruit notes.
