Review #1483; Rum #782
This is an 8 year old blend of molasses rums from Demerara Distillers Limited as a blend of various distillates.
There has been sugar added to this, 6-16 grams per liter from what Ive seen tested and depending on which batch it is. The color comes from El Dorados own caramel. Whether you believe the barrel coating story of aged with caramel, I will leave to you.

I can see why folks are a fan of this. Its easy to drink, walks that line of sweet, smoky, and savory very well. Neat it leaves you wanting more but I can see why this is a cocktail workhorse. I wish it was additive free (it could be now who knows). I don’t grade on cocktail application so it gets a just fine from me, which for this, feels pretty appropriate.
