Review #1520; Rum #819
This is a single cask of rum selected for Otto’s High Dive a neighborhood Cuban style bar located in Orlando Florida. This rum was was distilled by Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez at the Las Cabras distillery located in Herrera, Panama. The rum was distilled from molasses on a column still and put into ex-bourbon casks. It then aged for 30 years before being bottled with no artificial additives. This rum was imported by Down Island Spirits for Otto’s.

This is quite the delicious cask of rum. It’s just got that classic rum flavor to me. Its still pretty bright but has enough of that age to it to make things really interesting. I think given the kind of bar that Otto’s High Dive is going for given the heavy Cuban influence, this is the perfect analogue for them to pick as a single cask for them.
