Review #1514; Rum #813
Here is a bottling from new American IB Parheila Spirits which is based out of Washington DC. This rum is a single cask from Indonesia, their 2nd cask from that country and part of the 2nd wave of bottlings from them. There is much mystery around the production details but what we do know is the rum aged for 8 total years, with a little under a year spent in a Teak Vat before being places in an Ex-English Malt Whisky Cask where it aged till October of 2025. A mix of tropical (8 months) and continental (8 Years) aging it was bottled at cask strength with no additives. The distillery is secret.

For a small distiller in Mississippi making rum with molasses and cane juice and cane syrup this is quite good. Its bold in flavor, tons of oak influence. Their website was down at time of writing so Im going to assume new charred American oak casks from my taste but I could be wrong. Its bold and punchy while still being quite fruity and not drowned by the cask to me. Overall a very good bottle.
