This is a rum from Circle Hook, a distillery located in Mississippi , a state in the United States. This rum is a blend of molasses and cane juice distillate that has been distilled in a pot still and then rested for 3-6 months in stainless steel before being bottled with no additives or chill filtering.

If you blind handed me a bottle of rum and said it was from Mississippi and unaged I’d probably have a healthy amount of skepticism regarding it’s quality. But this here is the real deal as far as quality rum goes. Its chock full of flavor, its not like all those damn neutral tasting craft rums that dominate the market. If you put this in a cocktail you will taste it and its going for and achieves and nice balance of more cane and earthy notes from the cane juice distillate with a nice bit of fruitness as well. Up there as a high example of what American distillers can achieve, especially in places you would not expect.

Final Score: 88
